This weekend’s #FanArtFriday post comes to us from a young lady we have featured before, Rana Issa. Rana is a university student living and learning in Egypt, but who’s home is Aleppo, Syria. This piece was inspired by the yin yang on her notebook cover. The idea behind it is related to the yin/yang concept which says there's a little bad in every good and a little good in every bad. Ironically, this ‘little’ is sometimes the core that controls and reflects our actions, with a dark soul or horrible circumstances we can still spread a lot of happiness. Rana chose to represent the idea with the lion as it symbolizes power, and it does require power and strength to continue and fight for what we chose to be in this life.
