"I was hiking on a local trail when I came across this composition. The lone tree at the top of the hill seemed to make for a striking photo. To add to its glory, I knew that the sun would rise directly behind the tree. With this in mind, I returned to the spot several times in the early morning hoping to catch a beautiful #sunrise. More often than not, I wasn't greeted with a powerful sky; instead, they were cloudless mornings of dull gradients. I wanted this picture bad. The composition was premeditated and I just had to be there at the right time. I decided to keep at it, and on this morning at nearly 5:30, before the sun had even began rising above the horizon, the sky caught fire with a blend of beautiful hues resembling that of a #rainbow. This was it. This was the moment I had anticipated for a few weeks and I was finally able to capture it. Nature and its unpredictability will make photography a never ending chase for me.
