My son, Bowen Robert King, was born early in the morning this past Saturday. He is named for both an island I've never visited and a person I've never met, but he carries his own world inside himself that he will slowly reveal to me. I am overwhelmed by the expansion of my heart to make room for both of my children. I have also been peed on 10 times in the past 4 days, each time more forceful and creative than the last. The joys of parenthood are strange and amazing. Mama has two mouths to feed now so come see me play guitar at the Jewish Museum in NYC Thursday 7/20 at 7:30 pm. I promise not to talk too much about diapers and wipes.
