Here’s one of the last pix I took in Australia on the production of #potc5. It’s July 2015 and I’m sitting on my Gold Coast balcony overlooking the Pacific. I’m smiling because after seven months of shooting I’m finally going home. I remember being happy about taking the movie to the next stage that is postproduction but I was also nervous if we had made something that people still wanted to see. Now after 7 weeks in theaters all over the world, I know. And it’s been so much fun following the impressions and numbers coming in. Did you know it’s the second biggest movie in Russia of all time (only beat by Avatar)? And after 3 weeks of release in Japan it’s still #1! This weekend sees #potc5 crossing the $750M milestone at the global box office. And I’m still smiling ☠️?
