9-ish years of friendship and counting. I don't think anyone would have foreseen the popular all-star soccer goal keeper jocky befriending the awkward skinny little Asian figure skater unless you were watching a scene straight out of a highschool musical sequel, but it happened.
From getting into trouble in geography classes, to high school parties, and sitting next to each other awaiting our turn to cross the stage to collect our highschool diploma as Chan after Chan and Nguyen after Nguyen was called; you definitely had my back every step of the way and protected me from the bullies.
With my constant traveling, we don't get to see each other much but without fail we always appear at each others birthdays. And I'd rather see you once or twice in a year than not have you in my life at all. Needless to say, when we do get together it's like nothing has changed. Thanks for being an awesome friend and for protecting me even to this day.
