Ahmed Hussein is a nomadic herder living in Puntland, a region in northeastern Somalia. He traveled 48 hours by truck with 800 livestock just to access this man-made water well. Along the way hundreds of livestock died leaving the remainder of the flock in critical condition. He'll set up camp here for a few days before beginning the long journey home. For pastoralists living in northern Somalia and Somaliland, climate change is a life or death challenge that is pushing an already difficult existence to the very edge.
