The Duchess of Cambridge greets Sir David Attenborough at the opening of @natural_history_museum 's transformed Hintz Hall.

Opening to the public on the 14 July, the new Hintze Hall features a skeleton of a blue whale, named Hope. Whales became close to extinction after years of excessive hunting left their population in the 100s. Since an international law was passed in the 1960s, they have slowly recovered. The museum hopes that the new installation will remind visitors of the need to look after our oceans.
After viewing the new exhibitions celebrating the wonders of the sea, The Duchess spoke publicly for the first time about her interest in marine conservation.
