fun NYC fact from my post in the garden: this was one of Andy Warhol's favorite trees to sketch, planted in 1972. The tree is protected from the winds by the library on 6th Ave - it had a twin tree located in a different part of the Jefferson Market Garden that didn't survive, but he loved that one too. #volunteer #jeffersonmarketgarden
