It took me a few days to process, but I'm finally getting around to finding some words. Yah, nope, they just went away again. Since it's hard to express how I feel, I'll speak to what I saw: I saw fathers and mothers and sons and daughters and friends connecting and reconnecting through the music. I saw the faces of those who brought the memory of loved ones they lost, as they sang and danced with their spirit beside them. I saw the familiar faces who came to every show, giving pure encouragement. I stared at a half moon over Wrigley field and I played as if I was trying to reach the one standing on it.
