4th of July has always been my favorite day of the year. I grew up buying and trading for fireworks at the neighboring Indian reservation (#BoomCity)
My siblings and most of the (fun) neighbors would do an annual firework war in the woods at our place. (We were in a rain forest in northern Washington so fire wasn't really a thing)
I miss those days shooting Roman candles and bottle rockets at my friends trying to light their fort on fire...at the same time I kinda like sitting back and relaxing & just enjoying the amazing benefits of living in the best country on the planet ???
