Guam rails are flightless birds, but their bodies are narrow and specially-adapted for running. The Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute has repatriated Guam rails born at its research facility in Front Royal, Virginia to Guam. The species went extinct in the wild in 1987. #WeSaveSpecies
