'#CapeBreton, off of Nova Scotia’s northeast coast, is a land of bald eagles, autumnal hues and headland cliffs. The Skyline Trail, seen here, extends out toward the west coast of the island, providing excellent views of the Gulf of St Lawrence – and, if you’re lucky, a whale. Cape Breton is also a crossroads of several cultures, including the Mi'kmaq, an indigenous tribe that originally populated the island, and the Europeans who came later.
