This is the quote I find so much meaning in!
I chose this quote because winning NAHA became a platform for elevating artists and artistry, however when you haven't won and you are alone with your vision and your thoughts, you have to be willing to be vulnerable, to try something different, to question if it's perfection, or garbage. There is a surrendering that must take place as you create and that is when I believe you truly become an artist. I played around with all sorts of shapes and texture, and even threw things away that were atrocious, but every failure would spark a new idea that ultimately lead me to my winning collection. ・・・
