I'm honored to take part in celebrating #immigrantheritagemonth by joining @iamanimmigrant campaign.
As the world continues to evolve, immigration brings value and richness to society as we are able to learn through open hearts, dialogue and interactions, that we are all so much more alike than we are different. Despite almost everyone (non native/indigenous) having immigrants as ancestors, human beings are conditioned to fear the unknown, and because of this many immigrants face unfair discrimination, stigma and even violence upon arrival and integration into their new countries. This is devastating, cruel and unacceptable, considering so many have already faced incomprehensible turmoil in their journey to seek better lives. I encourage all my followers to say proudly #IStandWithImmigrants and to treat immigrants with the compassion and understanding they deserve. 🌏🌍🌎
