True story
Back in the days I had 0 respect for my curls. I hated my curly, frizzy hair. It was too much, almost black and all over the place! As a little girl I was bullied for being the hairy girl with a moustache (I'm from the Middle East, we invented hairy). My mum doesn't have curly hair and had no idea how to deal with mine. So she decided to do what's best, cut it short and brush it good?
Growing up I discovered the straightening iron. So I spend my teenage years walking around with burnt smelling straight hair. Anything just to look "normal". Years later and after a lot of care, I got my curls back and I appreciate them more than ever! Even when I decide to blow dry my hair for a change, my curls are my number 1 and I'm loving all the frizz that comes with it! #curlspower
