Spent the weekend in NYC documenting Pride and it was just a beautiful experience.

Growing up in a small town in America, I knew I was a bit different and perhaps the only one (I know crazy) but in the moment you feel a bit helpless and alone. Fast forward to this past weekend, I'm marching in a parade of 1000s down a New York street passing the Stonewall Inn with proud LGBTQ people and allies cheering you on. All I could do this was cry tears of happiness.

One of the best thing about the festivities was the a Youth Pride Festival. A new generation of kids that KNOW who they are and are unapologetic. I took one portrait and then more and more and met so many people. This is a portrait of Abby (@fabigail007) from New York. Her mom Meredith was so proud and supportive. This was Abby's first LGBTQ event ever! ?️‍?
