⚡️Dad + Jiichan (Gramps) with his sketchbook.
Dad was born in Poland +??Raised in CT??: He was great with his hands + brain, a true engineer. He served in the US Navy, where he met Mom, a young school teacher in Tokyo.
They met at the beloved Kamakura Temple: The Great Buddha when dad stationed in Yokohama, Tokyo. They fell for one another. Mom was a catch, but so was dad!

They married in Japan and the US. They had sis in AZ and me in CA. He later became a devoted Nuclear Auditor (smartest guy I know, for over 30 years.) Watching Jeopardy w him is straight legit, he whispers all the answers.

Grandpa/Jiichan, from??Kyūshū Japan, he was an impressionist painter, he had exhibits, showings + parties all over Japan, from Tokyo to Kyūshū. He also taught art and physical education to support his family, supply his love for travel and painting. He had a large art studio in their home.
Grandpa ? painted all over Europe + even bought a green VW Bug in ?? Paris + hired an assistant just to travel and paint Europe in the 1960's-70's. He broke a lot of rules, did what he wanted and didn't give a fuck.
He was before his time + a major hipster/rebel & pioneer.
Looking back, it's no wonder I work with integrity, pride, devotion and passion. I learned that from the men in my life. But they never told me, they simply showed me. I also love breaking rules and don't give a f.
Here's to all of you Dads, may you raise strong daughters & sons who respect women. Dad still treats mom like a queen! They hang out at Costco like on the reg.
