To round up the end of #mongrelsmusicvideo I have a section from my mood boards and a snap of my styling. This project has been months in the making, and truly collaborative- it's been a joy to work with Michael, Adam and Nadine and let our imaginations go. You can see from the boards how closely I followed them with my art direction. It's not often in this job that you can follow something through and have everything thats swimming in your head actually manifest itself. I don't usually art direct, but I LOVED every single moment of bringing this environment together. The next pic is of my styling (my actual job!) Jacqui, is in the most beautiful @needleandthreadlondon dress. I took out the underslip, I wanted to see the light shine through and get hints of leg. The paisley pattern reserved some modesty, i wrapped a vintage girdle round the middle and put a silk kimono over the top. Finally I stacked the necklaces and bracelets up, drawing influence from my #valimyers references. Michael's outfit was the starting point for this entire project, in terms of my job. I've talked in previous posts about his scarf being the basis of the colour palette, and i carried that through into everything. His poor, beautiful cherry #docmartens just about limped through. By the end of the shoot they were held together by glue, mud and a prayer. ?? loved every moment of this project, can't wait to show it all....coming soon.
