When Democratic manager Rep. Mike Doyle was given the winning trophy, he called Republican manager Rep. Joe Barton to join him and handed Barton the trophy to be put in Scalise’s office. There were 24,959 tickets sold — a record for the game that was first played in 1909. More than $1 million has been raised this year for Congressional Sports for Charity.
