A close up of a pencil sketch that I did for the @doodlewashed blog who was kind enough to let me have a guest feature (link in my bio)! For this I used the awesome new artist sketch #pencils by @franklinchristoph on their A5 notepad. I love the lead ranges that they offer and the nice bold dark lines. Not to mention an eraser that erases beautifully! For those who have tracked with me from my earlier doodling days know that the pencil was and is my first tried and true writing instrument of choice even though it does not waiver my love of pens of course. But the F-C graphite offerings are a welcome addition to my repertoire of favorites and are inspiring me to sketch more often. Perhaps I'll venture out more and start practicing urban sketches which have been a bit daunting for me but growth requires trying new things, right? What new things are you thinking about trying out? Care to share?
