For this week’s installment of #TigersFanFridays, we want to share the story of Heather, Chris and the Weber family. Earlier this year, Heather wanted to surprise her husband Chris, their two sons and his family with a trip to a Tigers game. Heather is currently deployed, and after Father’s Day, Chris will begin his deployment.
Though his military obligations have him residing in Alaska, Chris has never wavered from his Tigers fandom. Originally from Dorr, MI, Chris has Tigers memorabilia in every room of the house (the same could be said for his relatives, Heather notes), and even has a Tigers tattoo. “(He’s) a loving husband and father, a hard-working soldier, and dedicated Tigers fan,” Heather said.

That’s why Heather purchased tickets for Chris and their boys, her brother in law, nephew and father in law, as well as shirts and jerseys to wear to the game while deployed. So the three generations of the Weber family got to take in last Friday’s game for an experience they all enjoyed.

We’re incredibly thankful for Chris’ and Heather’s service and thrilled they shared this moment.
