#PeterFischli, of the artist duo #FischliWeiss was born today in 1952. In 2016 for "How to Work Better," visitors encountered “Haus,” a 1/5 scale replica of a generic factory building on Fifth Avenue, an architectural counterpoint to #FrankLloydWright's Guggenheim building. Fischli explained, “A consistent theme in our work has always been the notion of ‘popular opposites.’ And an idea from the start was to exhibit ‘Haus’—which is supposed to represent the most ordinary building of late modernism and have the aura of the most ordinary of buildings—in front of the Guggenheim, so as to have this confrontation between the ordinary and the extraordinary.” __
