SENIOR SUNDAY! Our friends @susiesseniordogs wanna know: isn't she lovely?! Isn't she grand? 10 year old Cakes is looking for a best bud to spend all of her glorious golden years with! Cakes is located in Newtown, Connecticut and is looking for her home in the tri-state and New England area. This pretty senior sweetcake has spent the last four years in a shelter, sadly, after her former people abandoned her. Cakes has a shy personality and it is a little harder for her to win the attention of humans who typically connect with the more outgoing dogs first. But once Cakes gets to know you, she forms a bond that is more special than you can even imagine. She is very low maintenance and would fit into many different household types. She gets along with other dogs (she prefers calm canines like herself) and can live with cats. And she is perfectly behaved when left home alone. But don't be mistaken, Cakes isn't ready to totally slow down just yet! She still loves going on hikes, and wading in lakes and ponds is one of her favorite pastimes.
