A very moving experience visiting Robben Island yesterday.
A monument to those who suffered there... the ones who survived the brutal life there... the many that did not.
The men they tried to silence for speaking out against unjust rule... the men who educated themselves when education was forbidden... I wish I could have wandered around the prison all day reading the stories of the men that gave their lives, or huge portions of it, inside it's walls. The sacrifice unimaginable...
