A worker applies a protective coating to the statue of William Penn in #Philadelphia on Thursday. The 37-foot bronze sculpture by Alexander Milne Calder has been atop City Hall for 125 years.

The sculpture's conservation project happens every ten years and takes four to five weeks to complete. Penn was the founder of the Province of #Pennsylvania, which would become the second state in the country.
