‘Nizwa Fort was constructed in the 17th century and provides panoramic views of the mountains, mosques and the city below. After spending a few hours exploring the flavours and stalls of Nizwa Souq, and eating far too much Halwa (a sugary treat which comes in various flavours), we ventured through the Fort which was hosting a celebration where we were fed even more free food (until we reached bursting point!).
