Sir Roger Moore, the international star who played James Bond, died today. He was 89 years old. He became famous on TV after playing lead in 'Ivanhoe' and 'Maverick.' He joined the James Bond franchise in 1973 and portrayed the character for seven films — he was the third person to officially take on the role.
