I met a new friend yesterday, her name is Macie and she is the bravest 8 year old I've ever met! This little girl is a talented hard core swimmer who is going through chemo for bone cancer. She makes the most out of everything, my favorite story I heard is how she felt like being in a wheel chair for a short time while she couldn't walk was really going to strengthen her butterfly stroke! I don't think she realized how motivating it was for me just to meet her?? she has such a positive and happy energy about her, I think we're going to have regular visits?
