Today's shape. 5'8 & 135lbs. One of the questions I get daily are what are the first steps to take to get healthy or lose weight. ☝🏻 My first suggestion is ALWAYS focus on cleaning up the diet. You will never have optimum health if your diet is consistently crap. 🍩🌭🍞🍹(And you can never out exercise a bad diet). Diet is and will always be MORE important than exercise. I always recommend starting slow and doing baby steps towards your goal. Crash dieting will most likely always result in rebounding and is obviously not sustainable.

First, focus on what you can "add in" instead of "taking out". Greens with EVERY meal and more water! 🥑🥒🥗💧 Also, gut health is noticeably becoming more important these days. 🙌🏻 I recommend everyone heal the gut with grass fed gelatin, glutamine, probiotics, and fermented foods. (Avoid antibiotics if possible). If you have a damaged gut, you will most likely be bloated and reacting negatively to many foods. The next step is to eliminate most sugar, most alcohol, and foods that you know your body doesn't agree with. Sugar and alcohol are inflammatory and an excessive amount will definitely have negative effects on health and weight. (Sugar detox guide on my website) But it's also important to understand and learn balance. Even I slip up haha I love dark chocolate, red wine, and tequila!
