Ok so since DAWN OF THE DEAD is One of the movies that made me want to do special-effects make up I figured I'd share this little tidbit with other fans of this George A. Romero classic. The second weekend in June they are having a celebration of Dawn of the dead in the actual filming location just outside of Pittsburgh check it out June 9-11th in the Monroeville Convention Center and in the Monroeville Mall. It's a huge dual event: Living Dead Weekend Monroeville and Steel City Con Horror Fan Edition have joined forces. There will be official Monroeville Mall Film Location Tours each of the
days of the weekend...a huge VIP party at the mall after it closes featuring the only time that all the DAWN Celebrities will be in the mall together. There will also be a huge party at the hotel the same night put on by Steel City Con. This all happens in the
spot where they filmed DAWN OF THE DEAD all those years ago. With celebrity signings, Celebrity Panel Discussions, and so much more. Every DAWN fan should attend, it's going to be legendary, people will be talking about this for many years to come.
