Toby's old kart... at a garage sale. I couldn't resist. Funny what 40 years does to paint... hell, to everything. Wobbly wheel, but I knew I'd make it. Vibration kept time with the song in my head anyway. 2 farm roads, the courthouse, Jelly Bean's Donuts and a railroad track behind me felt a whole lot better than they did in front of me. That track crossing had a downed gate that I'd never once seen up. Never. Still, I kept my foot planted. My head would just clear underneath it when I was 8, but I'd never tried it with a mouth full of Jelly Bean's holes. Used to close my eyes flying under that gate... you know, just in case. Wouldn't even make me blink today though... no way. Even grabbed another hole as I hit the incline & popped it right into my mouth just before the red and white warped wooden gate bar combed my hair at about 35 mph. I changed my mind... 40 years doesn't do shit. Who wants a ride to swim team practice?
