Words can’t describe how happy I am to have run the World Champs and Commonwealth Games A qualifying standards tonight at the USATF distance classic at Occidental College, LA, California where I came 3rd in 2.00.44 in a stacked field!!

After all the hard work it’s moment like these that I’ll always treasure!! All glory to God who is the reason why I run and helps me through the ups and downs and the homesickness with being away a lot (but also so grateful to get to travel). Massive thanks to my coach Danny Mackey who has been so supportive and for the brilliant communication from America while I was back in NZ. It’s been so awesome training with such a great squad– the Beasts in Seattle over the last month and looking forward to lots more training with my teammates.

Also big thanks to my amazing hubby Sam who arrived over here 2 days ago, my incredible parents, really supportive Athletics NZ, my amazing support team including physio Tamsin, Adidas, SOS and all my family and friends and other supporters.
