'We all need to celebrate what today's generation are achieving' – said The Duke in a speech before The Legacy Awards were presented. Prince Harry made a speech to close the ceremony remarking that those honoured today had 'acted for the good of others and not themselves.' 14 year old Nikhiya Shamser from India started up an initiative 'Bags , Books and Blessings' – which has since given over 4,000 students school supplies.
Winners were chosen from all over the world as well as from across the UK. The Legacy Award recipients will have access to a unique development programme from @dianaaward to enhance their skills in four key areas; leadership, community development, social entrepreneurship and technology for good – enabling them to continue to carry out the outstanding initiatives they have started.
