On this day – 89 years ago the Amsterdam 1928 Opening Ceremony was held in the Netherlands. Here’s the official poster that shows a runner in action holding a laurel branch, symbol of victory. In the bottom part, wavy lines in red, white and blue represent the colours of the Dutch national flag.
