Guggenheim Abu Dhabi collection artist Jacques Villeglé emerged as a major figure in the postwar French art scene in the late 1950s, when he first exhibited works composed from sections of layered, torn posters he had found on the streets of Paris. "Quai des célestins" (1965) relates to the Parisian municipal elections held in March 1965, and is on view now as part of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi’s second collection show, "The Creative Act" at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
