An inverted rainbow ? Yes ! A smile in the sky !!!

OK ! I'm asking for help here ! In all my 69 years I never saw a 'rainbow' like this. The Sun was below and to the left in this photo - taken yesterday about an hour and a half before sunset. The centre of this arc is nowhere near either the Sun (as in a halo) or the anti solar point (as in a rainbow) I'll have to check but I'd say its centre was around 90 degrees from either. What is it ? An ice bow ? It curves the wrong way for a sundog. But what's the mechanism ? .........
------ OK ! THANKS for the great comments. #CIRCUMZENITHAL ARC it is ! Or Bravais Arc. Produced by refraction in ice crystals in cirrus clouds. Though I'm thinking circumzenithal is not the perfect name for it - because this seems to imply that its centre is exactly in the zenith - which certainly was not the case here. Still - now we can all enjoy knowing what this was - a nice rare treat ! Cheers all - Bri
