We found a forever home for BB.
When she came to me, she was kind of a mess. I've worked really hard with her, hours daily for two months straight and she is finally ready to be adopted.
When she came to me, I was kind of a mess too. I couldn't function normally because my heart was so broken from losing my heart and soul. While I helped BB, she helped me to keep going.
Everyone around me fell in love with BB but all I wanted was to have my Jazzy back. I ignored when people suggested that I should keep her. A decision like that has to come from within your heart, not from outside pressure.
I asked Jazzy for dreams and signs every night. I was upset that I had frequent dreams of BB and none of Jazzy's.
As BB started to turn the corner, we could see her for who she really was. I couldn't deny that I saw Jazzy in BB. The way she looks for me when I am out of sight just for a second; the way she pulls our socks when we eat dinner; and how she turns around and waits for me on the trail... I didn't need to have dreams. Jazzy was showing me signs all this time.
I know I will never find another doggy like Jazzy and that she will never be replaced. But I am letting my guard down and allowing BB into my heart.
I have fostered tons of dogs and never once "failed". But this time, I want to take a leap of faith and accept BB to be part of our family.
