This is Mazzy at just a few weeks old. It is also the pic that I used in my blog header when I first started Mommy Shorts. Back when I was a brand new parent who had no idea what I was doing. You know what? I'm still a parent who has no idea what I'm doing. I'm just more confident in my total and complete averageness. Although, sometimes I still have to remind myself that I am not working towards perfection because that will always be a losing battle. I made a video using an excerpt from the last chapter of "The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting" which explains what I believe to be the secret to enjoying parenthood.
