?PHOENIX, AZ: She is sooo unique! Meet 12 year old Oreo! ? This beauty queen is unfortunately living at the public shelter and she just wants to be a princess in a castle. ?? Two months ago Oreo's former owner dropped off Oreo and her furry brother to the shelter stating the reason being that they had too many dogs at home. They were kenneled together until, sadly, Oreo's brother was euthanized for medical reasons. Oreo is a super smart, fun girl who needs a good home right away. PLEASE SHARE!
A volunteer wrote, "Oreo was owner surrendered for 'too many dogs.' This is a lady who you fall in love with right away. After all, what's not to love?! Adorable? Check! Friendly? Check! Kisses on the first date? Yup! Looks AND smarts? Oreo knows tons of tricks and is happy to show them all off for treats. She's a pro at Sit, Speak, Paw and Down! They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but Oreo is a very young 12 years and I've no doubt she's up for learning more. You bring the treats, she'll bring the tricks! She has that perfect senior dog energy, overall mellow, but still spunky and happy!

Oreo lived with other dogs in her prior home and has had a kennel mate she did fine with (she was surrendered with him and he was unfortunately put down due to medical issues). And she has does fine during playgroups with other gentle/mellow dogs. She can sometimes tend to overcorrect exuberant dogs, that's a lot of fancy words for 'Oreo doesn't enjoy hyper young whippersnappers,' LOL. She isn't reactive at all when we walk around other dogs or down the kennel line. All this means is that Oreo may prefer mellow dogs like her that won't get on her nerves- she is 12.

Her adoption fee is $20 and includes spay, rabies certificate and County license. Oreo has some medical needs that her adopter should be willing to address. She does have a mass on her mammary chain that should be examined by a full service vet. (Financial sponsorship available to an approved adopter.) Otherwise, Oreo is happy and healthy!"
