It warms my heart to see the work Dove has been doing for 10+ years to support and facilitate the development of self-esteem in young girls. There are great resources available to help nurture confidence, and foster positive self-worth. Check out the link in my bio! When I was young, I was incredibly embarrassed to have freckles. I was also woefully insecure about being pale 😳😔 A vicious cycle ensued ..... an attempt to "tan" ➡ a sunburn ➡ more freckles ➡ more negative self-talk. It wasn't until a mentor of mine told me my freckles were like "fairy kisses" that I finally saw them with a fresh perspective. Now, as an adult, I embrace my fair skin and have learned to love my freckles. I am proud to be part of the Dove Look How Far We've Come campaign because it's proof of Dove's commitment to real women, and real beauty.
