With all of my house and church sketches - I ALWAYS start with pencil sketch first. As I layer the trees and shrubs in the foreground, I can see what part of the building to erase later. .
TIP: Lines do not have to be perfect. I draw in a very “loose” style, and my lines don’t always connect (especially in my tree and plant drawings). Nature isn’t perfect either… it’s organic, natural and has movement. I try to carry this over in my drawings too.
