Dramatic Colorful Cathedral

This historic building was part of our walking tour in the town of Chalon-Sur-Saône. We docked our @gadventures river barge on the banks of this French village and spent part of the day exploring it.

The origin of this cathedral is vague, thought to be built between 1090 and 1522, with an alter dedicated to the god of Mars.

I love the variances of light and color here. These are the little towns you might miss if you drove through the region, which is why I love these stops along the river. Have you been here?
