Today is International Pay It Forward day. That could mean a lotta things- buying a stranger in need a cup of coffee, giving up your seat on the subway, intervening when you see an act of bullying. Tom Hardy's wife letting everyone kiss him. But it makes me think of my friend Nora Ephron, and the way she made living time for every woman she met who was emerging in the worlds of film and media. Advice, a meal, a walk, or even a stern talking to- she was determined to give every woman what she would have needed when she was their age trying to do the damn thing. Today I encourage you to share what you have and how you got it with someone who is unsure, unmoored, a little afraid. Nora would want you to, and it's the best pay it forward I can imagine.
