Thumbs up to the short gleaning survey for growers! ??
Farmers!
UpRoot, LiveWell Colorado and the National Farmer's Union, recently designed and released a survey to find out more about farmers' current practices and feelings towards gleaning. The survey is part of a larger study that aims to find out: -What incentivizes farmers to donate excess produce?
-If state-sponsored tax credits, such as the CO Charitable Crops Act, are incentivizing donations and which farmers are using them?
-How we can create a gleaning model that benefits farmers as much as people in need of fresh food?
