Via @anotherloves: It’s decadent to use anything more haute than a Glade plug-in to freshen the air of one’s home. To use a contraption formulated by world-renowned perfumer @fredericmalle verges on ridiculous extravagance – but it is compelling, and is made even more so by the fact that this Perfume Gun eschews the conventionally gilded packaging of similarly priced products for a bottle more reminiscent of pound store detergents. It is a brilliantly banal subversion of grandeur, and all the better for its witty take on luxury.

This version of his room spray range is filled with a concoction created by Sophia Grojsman, a heady blend of nutmeg, cinnamon, iris and sandalwood that is as opulent and seductive as its name, Russian Nights, implies, but which manages to avoid suffocating you and your guests (as is often the unfortunate risk with such scents). With its title printed in Cyrillic across a grey plastic body, there is something mysteriously alluring about its presence atop a coffee table – but, above all else, it suits its purpose. With a couple of spritzes, a dank, smoky room is transformed into an elegant abode. Such glamour is priceless.
