Q: How did you create the brand and become such an icon in the industry. Not only in paper but fashion, design, etc. What do you think was your turning point?
A. First, I'm so flattered that you think that of me! I feel like I'm just a girl with big dreams working hard like the rest of us. I don't feel there was ever a major turning point that changed everything. Truthfully, I feel like I've just constantly been trying to persevere and make my dreams and passions a reality (and I'm still working on that today and every day btw!) Ever since I started my business in 2004, each year I set new goals for myself and my brand. Set my eyes on the prize and did everything in my power not to give up. It's not easy and it takes a lot of discipline. It's helpful to take a step back from your business and create your high level to do list before you get caught up in the day to day. Try making a vision board for your own brand and write a list of your top key core values and make sure everything you do and put out in the universe fit into that. If they don't, it's not worth your time as they don't play into your bigger brand picture. Keep your focus laser sharp and keep blazing forward in the right direction!
