It is a beautifully overcast morning here, which is perfect for quiet spaces to read, write, reflect and recenter for the day ahead. These days I've been immersed in the writings of Epictetus and John O'Donohue. And I must admit that this morning in particular I'm just a tad excited (read: completely elated) over my first Model 65 Stabilis @franklinchristoph fountain pen in Classic Black (side note: I have an affinity for black pens and dresses as both are timeless). I've been wanting a good desk pen for awhile and I couldn't be happier with this piece especially given that the design makes this pen so easily portable too. One of my favorite details is flat side on the barrel which prevents it from rolling around on the desk (swipe left for a detailed close up). And. I woke up extra early to have more quiet space to write with the 65 Stabilis and am enjoying it so much that I am already pondering its larger predecessor, the Model 66 Stabilis, as a desk sketch pen. Speaking of which, I have a question for sketch artists, doodlers and the like: what are your favorite inks to draw with in your fountain pens? Both black inks and other colors. I'm looking to try a few new ones. Anyone? Anyone? Ferris... •
