Last night @saraluaagah and I attended the #goldmanenvironmentalprize awards ceremony with Tom Sebastian from @swirlsf celebrating 6 heroes from around the world doing courageous work to protect their communities and our planet. Picture 2: afterwards I had the chance to have a great talk with the legendary @bonnieraittofficial what a thrill for me! Fanboy moment. Picture 3: stopped for a selfie with Bay Area high school students - our next generation of environmental leaders who were full of fire when I played a song to honor the awardees. I gotta say it's pretty kick ass when families like the Goldman's who have ridiculous amounts of money do stuff to support and promote grassroots activists doing good in the world. They've gave out awards to people in 86 countries since 1989. That's pretty kick ass! John Goldman gave a no holds barred speech about how our current administration is rolling back decades of laws designed to protect our country and planet's environment. Nobody HAS to do good, it's a choice, so hats off to the Goldman Environmental Foundation for creating the world's largest prize for environmental works.
