“I don’t want my community to be dumped on anymore,” says #GlamourCWOTY winner Destiny Watford. The Baltimore native helped organize and rally 22 groups to stop a trash-burning incinerator and power plant from being constructed in her area. While officials claim it was a “green” effort, in reality, it would burn 4,000 tons of trash a day and release hundreds of pounds of mercury and lead every year.
