Dear Mama Earth,

I've known you for 32 years and I think it's time to be honest and apologize.
I apologize for having only one Earth Day per year. Everyday should be your day... I also want to apologize for every single decision I deliberately made knowing it might hurt you.
I apologize for being self-centered and thinking my little personal pleasures are more important than you.
Sorry for buying shirts that took a lot of YOUR water to make. Sorry for the food I bought that ruined YOUR soil and YOUR air.
Sorry for the plastic I use every day that kills YOUR ecosystem... Sorry for not changing my habits because I thought that I couldn't make a difference.
Sorry that I secretly hope one day we will be able to go to Mars and that if you are left alone, behind, destroyed, well that would kind of be ok...
Sorry for taking you for granted.
Sorry for letting people think that we are better than you, we can use you, we can take advantage of you and most of all that we don't owe you a damn thing.
Sorry for being a lazy selfish human being and forgetting that success, happiness, fulfillment, being at peace, being in Love, having fun, ambition, a career, and above all money ... mean NOTHING without you.... But I promise to do everything I can to change that.
One day at a time. I will try to make things better in my own personal insignificant life.
You are our mother, our everything.
I had a strange mystic experience last year in a holy forest in Indonesia and I couldn't be more grateful for the message I received from you.
I never felt so connected to you, and now I finally understand who you are.
I didn't understand with my mind but now I do, with my heart.
And unless you feel, you can't change... I now know what true love means, and I feel it for you.
